Spring on the Canal

After a day confined to my room by a fast-approaching deadline I was very thankful for having Regents Canal and Victoria Park just around the corner when I took a break in the afternoon. The sun was shining over Victoria Park, people played football and walked dogs and the voices of children came from the high branches of rustling trees as they climbed through leaves and fantasy worlds.

Walking along the canal I spotted this highly decorated unit - completely, beautifully and randomly covered in intricate drawings of bugs, birds and flowers. I found myself wondering: who? And why? Anyway, the surprising work of the silent artist put a smile on my face.
